Welcome, and thank you for being here.
Today we launched a new website for the Polk County Republican Party. I have been calling it the Google of Polk County politics.
If you are new, and you want to get involved but you do not know where to start, start here.
Today we launched a new website for the Polk County Republican Party, and I am proud to welcome you to it. Not just because it looks better, but because it represents something bigger. We are building a stronger, more connected Republican Party in Polk County, and we are doing it with purpose.
This is more than a redesign. It is a commitment to clear communication, transparency, and building a Republican Party that is organized, energized, and ready for the work ahead.
Our Mission Starts Locally
The Polk County Republican Party exists for one clear purpose: to elect Republicans who will defend freedom, promote opportunity, and uphold the Constitution, starting right here at home.
If you care about where the country is headed, you should care about local elections. School boards, city councils, county offices, and state legislative seats are where policy stops being theory and starts affecting your daily life. These decisions shape our schools, our public safety, our taxes, and the strength of our communities.
When Republicans show up locally, we do not just win elections. We earn trust. We build momentum. And we shape the future.
What This Website Is For
This site is going to be a working tool for Republicans across Polk County. It will help you:
-
Learn how to get involved
-
Stay informed about events, meetings, and elections
-
Support Republican candidates
-
Connect with fellow conservatives who care about this county
Whether you have been involved for decades or you are just starting to engage in local politics, you belong here. If you are ready to step up, we are ready to put you to work.
Why 2026 Matters
The launch of this site comes at the start of a critical election cycle.
In 2026, Iowans will elect a Governor, a United States Senator, members of Congress, and candidates for important local offices throughout Polk County. Those elections will shape public policy, economic growth, public safety, and the role of government in everyday life. There will be national attention on Iowa, and what happens here will matter far beyond our borders.
Winning in November does not start next fall. It starts now.
Our Priorities Moving Forward
As Chair, my focus is simple. We are going to build a party that is strong at the precinct level, serious about recruiting and supporting candidates, and relentless about turning out Republican voters.
1. Build strong precincts and a year-round grassroots organization
Elections are won at the precinct level. Strong precinct leadership creates accountability, expands outreach, and makes sure we are organized long before ballots are cast.
2. Recruit, support, and elect Republican candidates
Strong candidates matter. From school boards to statewide office, we are committed to early recruitment, practical training, and coordinated support so our candidates are prepared to run disciplined, competitive campaigns.
3. Turn out Republican voters
Turnout decides elections. That means voter registration, consistent communication, early engagement, and a Get Out The Vote effort that is focused and serious.
Republicans win when our voters are identified, informed, and motivated to show up.
Honoring the Past, Building the Future
As we move forward, we do so with deep respect for those who built this organization before us. The Polk County Republican Party has been shaped by leaders who gave countless hours, often behind the scenes, to strengthen this party and this county.
We also continue to honor the legacy of former Chair Gloria Mazza, whose leadership, passion, and commitment left a lasting mark. Her example reminds us that leadership is service, and that the work we do today matters long after we are gone.
This new chapter builds on that foundation.
America 250 and Civic Responsibility
As we head into 2026, our country will also mark America’s 250th anniversary, with celebrations across Iowa recognizing our nation’s history and founding principles.
Those principles, individual liberty, limited government, and self-government, did not endure for 250 years by accident. They require citizens who are informed, engaged, and willing to lead. Republicans should be at the forefront of that responsibility.
Get Involved
This website is a starting point for Republicans who want to make a difference. Whether you are interested in volunteering, becoming a precinct leader, supporting candidates, or simply staying informed, there is a role for you.
Political victories are never the work of one person or one election cycle. They are built by people who are willing to show up, speak up, and help where they can.
Polk County is growing. The challenges are real. The stakes are high.
But I am optimistic, because I see dedicated volunteers, new Republicans stepping forward, and a shared belief that conservative principles are timeless.
Thank you for visiting our new website. Thank you for supporting the Polk County Republican Party. And thank you for being part of the work ahead.
Let’s get to work.
