Types of Membership
Full Membership [Precinct Committeeperson / Voting Member]
Full Members of the Polk County GOP are Precinct Committeepersons (PCPs), the foundation of our Party and official voting members of the Central Committee. PCPs are elected at the biennial Caucus and serve as the Republican voice for their precincts. Your attendance and participation at caucus is the best way to get involved, meet fellow Republicans in your precinct, indicate your willingness to serve, and participate in the nomination and election process.
As a Full Member, you will:
- Serve as a voting delegate on the Central Committee
- Help elect the Central Committee County Officers
- Shape the Party platform, budget, and bylaws
- Participate in the county, district and state party conventions
- Lead grassroots efforts in your precinct to register voters, support campaigns, and turn out Republican votes
Eligibility:
- Must be a registered Republican in Polk County
- Elected during the Caucus
- Vacancies do occur between caucus periods and can be filled according to the bylaws of the party
- Commitment to attend meetings and represent your precinct
