Volunteer FAQs
How much time do I need to commit?
We truly value any amount of time you can volunteer. There is no minimum requirement to be a part of our team, every contribution matters.
Do I need prior political or volunteer experience?
No experience is required. We provide clear instructions for all volunteer opportunities, so you’ll be supported every step of the way.
Will my volunteer hours be tracked?
Yes. We ask that you submit your self-recorded volunteer hours to the Volunteer Coordinator so we can recognize your contributions.
Is there an age requirement?
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old for certain activities, such as voter registration or door-to-door canvassing. However, we welcome younger volunteers for events, parades, and office help. For further details, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator.
Is there a dress code?
There is no strict dress code for volunteering. We encourage you to dress in a neat and professional manner that positively represents the Polk County Republicans. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes for community events or canvassing. If certain clothing is necessary for an event, such as branded shirts, notification will be provided beforehand.
