The next Northside Conservatives meeting is Friday, June 12th at 7:15 AM at Briarwood Golf Club (3405 NE Trilein Dr, Ankeny).

Our speakers are Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird who is seeking re-election, and State Senator Mike Bousselot, who will provide an update from this year’s legislative session.

Attorney General Brenna Bird

Before taking office as Iowa Attorney General in January 2023, Brenna Bird served as a prosecutor for six years, first as the Fremont County Attorney and then since 2018 as the Guthrie County Attorney. She was elected by her fellow county attorneys to leadership roles with the Iowa County Attorney Association, most recently serving as the Association’s President.

Brenna has also engaged in private practice of law, worked in the Iowa Governor’s Office and the U.S. House of Representatives, and taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Iowa College of Law.

State Senator Mike Bousselot

Mike Bousselot is a lifelong Iowan, a small business owner, and a Christian, conservative leader serving in the Iowa State Senate. Raised in Davenport and now living in the Ankeny area, Mike has dedicated his career to strengthening Iowa through public service, economic growth, and community leadership.

He has served in senior roles under Governors Terry Branstad and Kim Reynolds, in the Iowa House and in the Iowa Senate and even as President Trump’s caucus night attorney. In addition to his work in public service, Mike has built workforce housing in towns across Iowa and founded successful land and real estate businesses. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Iowa Sports Foundation, which hosts the Iowa Games, co-founded Professionals for Charity, and is an active member of St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ankeny.
