The next Northside Conservatives meeting is Friday, February 13th at 7:15 AM at Briarwood Golf Club (3405 NE Trilein Dr, Ankeny).

Our speakers are Congressman Randy Feenstra, who is running for Governor, and Lt. Governor Chris Cournoyer, who is running for Iowa State Auditor.

Congressman Randy Feenstra

Congressman Randy Feenstra is a husband, father, and fourth-generation Iowan running for Governor to take Iowa to new heights. He met his wife of 32 years, Lynette, while working at a local Pizza Ranch. Together, they raised four children in Hull, Iowa.

Randy began working at a young age, holding a paper route and waking up at 3:00 AM to work at a local bakery. His career includes private-sector leadership, teaching business at Dordt University, overseeing insurance operations across Iowa State Bank branches, and serving in multiple public offices.

He has served as Hull City Administrator, Sioux County Treasurer, and Chairman of the Iowa Senate Ways and Means Committee, where he authored the largest tax cut in Iowa history at the time.

Elected in 2020 to represent Iowa’s 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, Randy serves on the House Ways and Means Committee and the House Agriculture Committee.

Randy helped author President Trump’s tax cuts for working families, supported key agricultural investments, and led the passage of Sarah’s Law to ensure justice for victims of violent crimes.

As Governor, Randy’s priorities include making Iowa the best state for business and agriculture, delivering world-class education, keeping young Iowans in the state, and ensuring affordable, accessible healthcare.

Randy will never waver in defending constitutional rights and conservative principles.

Lt. Governor Chris Cournoyer

Chris Cournoyer is the 48th Lieutenant Governor of Iowa, appointed by Governor Kim Reynolds in December 2024. Previously, she served in the Iowa State Senate representing Clinton, Jackson, and Scott counties.

Elected in 2018, she chaired the Technology Committee and helped craft legislation making Iowa the sixth state to enact consumer data protection laws.

Lt. Governor Cournoyer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University of Texas and began her career as a senior consultant at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).

A strong advocate for STEM education, she has served on the Governor’s STEM Advisory Council and worked to expand opportunities for underserved students across Iowa.
