The Polk County Republican Convention is where grassroots Republicans come together to set direction, elect delegates, and advance the work begun at precinct caucuses.

Why the County Convention Matters

The County Convention is where Polk County Republicans set direction between elections.

At the convention, delegates will:

  • ✔ Adopt the Polk County Republican Platform

  • ✔ Elect delegates to the District and State Conventions

  • ✔ Hear from Republican candidates and party leaders

This is a working convention, and every delegate plays a role.

Who Should Consider Being a Delegate?

You should consider serving as a delegate if you:

  • ✔ Care about the direction of the Republican Party

  • ✔ Want to support strong Republican candidates

  • ✔ Are interested in learning how the party works

The County Convention is a one-day commitment and a great entry point for involvement.

How You Participate

Delegates and alternates to the County Convention are elected at the precinct caucuses on February 2.

If elected, you will receive convention details and next steps prior to March 7.

Credentialing & Check-In

All delegates and alternates must check in and be credentialed before participating. Convention fees must be paid prior to receiving credentials. See “Convention Fees & Payment” below.

  • Bring a photo ID

  • Credentialing opens at 8:00 AM

  • Alternates will be seated as needed

Convention Fees & Payment

Delegate and Alternate Convention Fees must be paid no later than Thursday, March 5, 2026.

To ensure a smooth check-in process on Convention Day, we strongly encourage all delegates and alternates to complete payment in advance.
