MARVIS LANDON
Marvis grew up on a farm where she learned to hunt and acquired her common sense, interest in business and a strong work ethic. She has a Mechanical Engineering Degree and a Master's degree in Business Administration. After working at John Deere for 30 years, she followed her dream to become a Real Estate Agent which she still enjoys. In addition, she manages the family farm.
She and her late husband Rep. John Landon raised 2 children, Eric and Morgan, who attended Ankeny Public Schools K-12. She has 3 grandchildren who live in Polk County with their parents and they enjoy her Master Gardener and boating hobbies. Marvis attends Prairie Ridge Church and recently volunteered in the Mitchellville Prison Ministry. She also recently served as a Judicial Commissioner for 6 years in District 5C (Polk County).
